Welcome to Mery's Moment: my new project to achieve digital disconnection by creating with my hands

I'm María, and since 2011, I've been doing something I love: teaching people to create with their hands, in a perfectly imperfect way. I've taught thousands of people of all ages with Delipapel, and I'm also a Vogue teacher at Vogue Shots; in fact, this very photo was taken of me for that project.

Now I'm starting a new chapter, perhaps the most personal of all, which is why I've named it after myself: Mery's Moment.

Thanks to all the courses I've taught over the years, I can create this new project: creative activity boxes designed to achieve true digital disconnection, even if only for a few hours, and help you return to creating with your hands. The experience you'll receive at home will be 360º: all your senses will be engaged, if you wish, so you can enjoy this creative moment from Mery's Moment, designed for you down to the last detail.

Mery's Moment was actually born after repeatedly observing how we walk around with our phones in hand, or how we look at them even when crossing the street. From seeing how, during a concert, only hands with phones recording are visible instead of people living in the moment. And, importantly, from realizing that I myself spend hours scrolling down without hardly noticing. This project was born to try to curb this, if only for a few hours.

And, without a doubt, our creativity boxes have a very important social purpose: each Mery's Moment box is prepared by hand in Spain and assembled at the Casa Santa Teresa Special Center in Madrid, thanks to the work of people with intellectual disabilities. Every box you buy is not just a moment for you: it also generates real employment and inclusion.

This is a small step, and I'd love to have you join me every two weeks. Here I'll share my ideas, my concerns, what I see coming in creative trends, and, above all, everything that helps us reconnect with ourselves, without screens in between.
